Friday Photo 38

I first got addicted to ukay-ukay (second-hand clothing) in the late 90s, when I discovered the ukay shops in Baguio City. It was a good source of designer stuff I can never afford to buy. I especially loved Italian shoes. Then in my last two years in Cambodia, I found ukay-ukay again, through a friend who’s really addicted to it. In Cambodia, most of the ukay stuff come from Japan. I was able to buy a lot of ceramic dishes, stuffed toys, and clothes and shoes. And one can find it almost anywhere, sometimes alongside fruits and vegetables in a market, like the one pictured below.
